"Do You Want To Be A Better Short Putter Right Now"?

“Do You Want To Be A Better Short Putter Right Now”?

You're probably thinking---Duh Mark!

Short putting is a lot tougher than it looks unfortunately---and like I keep saying if Tiger has short putting issues you can bet that most other golfers do. That's why golfers need to be vigilant in practicing short putting.

That doesn't mean you need to practice an hour a day 7 days a week. Most would give up in a week.
Even top golfers. They know how to prioritize their putting practice and do it in short sessions 3 or 4 times a week at most.

I know you guys know this stuff as far as short putting goes. But if I don't teach you the non-sexy stuff that actually makes you a better short putter, many of will get hung up on a certain aspect of it and not take action and quit practicing your short putting.

And you don't want that,do you?

Okay, here it goes...

I'm going to give you one simple short putting tip to start you off.

Then there will be 4 more short putting tips in this series.

This first one is so simple your one legged dog could do it. Well, maybe not.

That's how simple it is.

Start off by putting balls 5 balls around a hole about tap-in distance away. You think you should start from like 5 feet away. But most golfers have a tough time starting from a longer distance.

I know this is so simple, but it will give you the ability to get a feel for the putting stroke you need for short putts. If you go back to one of my previous articles I talked about a short putting method where you actually push the ball in the hole with the putter club head. This will give you the feel for how far forward you need to take the putter.

There's a free short putting tip right there.

Okay, do these tap-in putts for 3 minutes at most. Then take the 5 balls and put them about 2 feet away. Then do these two footers for another 3 minutes.

The two footers are tougher—but don't worry about perfect mechanics. Just do these short putts.

That way success or failure you'll get in the groove of doing short putts including tap-ins.

So get started today and do this little short putting routine for about 6 minutes a day 3 time a week. That's about 18 to twenty minutes a week. You don't have twenty minutes in a week to become a better short putter?

Sure you do and you know it. You'll do these short putting tips because you love golf and you want to become better at short putting. Maybe even show up the pros.

I'll have the next short putting tip soon guys.

Stay tuned.
