Putting Fundamentals Tips From PGA Pro Brad Faxon--Simple But Vital Putting Tips
Brad Faxon talks about these basic fundamentals, time and grip. What I mean is taking the time to practice putt daily and getting your grip the way it should be, and some sense of comfort in your grip that gets results.
Brad shows you how to grip a Putter in this video and he actually says which threw me a little, to be wristy in your Putting Stroke. My thinking is the other way around on that. But maybe your putting stroke is better with a wristy putter grip. Mine has always been a tighter grip.
You make the choice. But use time to your advantage to practice putt and learn from Brad Faxon on grip and many other ways to become a better putter.

Short Putting Technique That Will Accelerate Your On-Green Performance Forever
By MARK GROVE
DATE: 2004-07-07
Yeah,Yeah, you're probably saying it's all Bullshit.Think what you want, all I know is Putting is simple yet hard. That's why even Tiger isn't a perfect golfer when most people expect him to be.All I know is you can help yourself by just practicing regularly on the green. Not once every week or two weeks but every second day for at least 10 minutes. What? You don't have 10 minutes?
If you care about your Putting enough you'll see that even 10 minutes can be more productive than 30 minutes a day.Because most quit practicing and if you continue Practice Putting 10 minutes a day every second day, chances are it will help your game better than most top amateurs or crappy pros. Okay,on to the other Putting tip of this article.
Putting and progressing your technique is important to your overall score. One thing most golfers don't do and that's just buy a round of golf and just practice putting instead of playing a round, when you know your driving's been better but your short game has always sucked. What's the matter with just practicing your putts
other than you'll get looks from everyone. You have to think differently in order to improve your game.First of all when approaching a putt on the green don't do it from one angle or the same number of yards away from the cup. You will never know how your game is by doing that.
As well, don't think that practicing at work or at home on the same putting green will sky rocket your game either. It will but only to a point. It's best to practice on the real thing and that means learning to putt on different lies and trying different putting techniques for those lies, along with keeping notes of how you've been putting on each hole. Kind of a golf green scouting report. Anything you can do to help your game is essential.
Improve your putting stroke too,and that means learning at what speed your putting should be. I truly believe your putting should be practiced a lot more than your tee off stroke. As well and I keep saying this, mechanics are important but not everything.Your putting stroke should be practiced like your tee off shots but learn how to read each phase of your stroke and how soft or hard you should be hitting the ball. Experiment with the above techniques and your short game will be off and running!
But remember the first tip, every second day practice putt for 10 minutes like
clockwork. It will pay off immeasurably.More than all your buddies so called
ways of putting practice.Get busy!

Short Putting Practice Do You Really Need To?: Duh, Yeah You Do
Putting practice:Is it needed?
By MARK GROVE
DATE: 2004-10-12--This is a Repost of an old article by yours truly
A lot of you who golf regularly are probably saying I already get enough putting in my regular game and don't need any extra work on my short game.
Wrong guys and gals. Think about the pros and where the level of their game is at because of the extra practice. Chances are their putting is practiced more than their long game and they the putting greens at a course to practice.
I always say to practice your putting 10 to 20 minutes 3 to 4 times a week to work on the problem areas of your putting such as follow through technique, putting from different angles and distances as well. By pulling extra putting duty you'll wonder why you didn't just do a little extra while your buddies are at the Golf club bar hammering down a few. Now you may think that doing just 10 to 20 minutes won't do anything to help your putts, but if you think you need an hour or more chances are you won't keep it up and quit practicing your short game.
As well, you only get so much out of practice and concentrating on your problem areas for a short period 3 times a week will go a long way to shaving strokes off your game. Just do a little more Putting Duty.
