No, I can't guarantee you'll be a better putter just like that. Especially if I was selling an information product on putting. Only you can become a better putter through action on a regular basis.
If you're a golfer who's better than most, but not better than top local amateurs or pros, you'll benefit from this training. That means you want to become a better putter and overall golfer, period.
Here's what ya do. And it will show you where you're going wrong with your short putting.
I'm not kidding.
Take some friends out and rent a green for an hour at a course. I'm not kidding. If you're a golfer who uses lessons from local pros, or Youtube videos of top pros doing short putting practice. Use those tips and write up some lessons and take your friends out who golf regularly with you. If you're someone they go to for tips, and you offer something of value, they'll usually oblige.
Offer to buy a round of beers and a meal. It may cost you, but you'll help them and you.
Now, take them out to the green with beers in hand, and start teaching them. You have to do the short putting practice too. Take some of the tips from my articles and use those to help your friends.
Start by doing some tap ins and 2 footers. Believe me the 2 footers are more difficult than you think.
By watching them practice, you'll see where you're going wrong in your short putts. Plus, you're doing the fun part which is being with friends and drinking beer. Just talking bullshit and having fun. It's not all about being serious. I find I'm a little too serious a lot, and it cuts into having fun. I can admit that.
Now, do some 3 and 4 footers at the most. Show your friends how to short putt by using what you know from experience and tips from other golfers. Brad Faxon is my favorite on that end.
You're out having fun and teaching them, and creating value. Plus, having fun having a few beers and treating them. They'll enjoy practicing putting and being out playing golf more as a result. I often wonder if guys like Tiger have any fun. He seems so serious like me.
I hope these tips can help you. Even if you're not a great putter, you can still take tips from pros and use them to help your friends putt better. You don't need to be a pro, or a pro at a course to help people who love golf putt better.
So have fun with this guys. Your friends will like you better for it. Have a few beers as well, on you.
