This Short Putting Drill Will have You Putting Better Than Tiger Woods in 5 Minutes!

Well, maybe not but this short putting tip is just as good. Okay, as long as you don't practice your short putting you won't become better. And just because you might play 7 days a week doesn't mean you'll become a great putter either. You need focused putting practice that concentrates on one area of your putting at a time. And don't think that because you can sink the majority of your putts the next one will be easier.

Doesn't work like that guys. Chances are it won't work the way you want. And no there's no such thing as momentum. Meaning, because you sank the last 5 the next one will be easier. No, it's one short putt at a time. It's like playing sports, you can only win the game in front of you. There is no such thing as winning consecutive games.

Okay, we're only going to do one short putting tip here today and for the next week just focus on that.Start by doing 1 foot or tap in putts. Then do 3 footers, then 5 footers. Don't worry about getting them all in, just start putting. And don't think about perfect mechanics either. Just start putting.

Put 4 or 5 balls around the cup all at one foot and do that for five minutes, then 3 feet for 5 and 5 feet for 5. Or if you're strapped for time do 3 minutes on each short putt distance. This will keep you more focused on short putts up to 5 feet.I find beyond that you're in the realm of long putts which is not what you want to focus on.

10 to 15 minutes three times a week for your short putts of 1, 3 and 5 feet. This is easier than it looks. As long as you practice regularly. Even twice a week regularly is betetr than not doing it at all.

Much success on the green with your short putting guys.
