Short Putting Is A Target Game Anyone Can Do Well At--Even Me!

Hey guys, thought I'd put this little blurb up on short putting. Especially 2 footers and less. It's not about getting a perfect stroke. It's about just hitting your target. I was reading an article recently on this aspect of short putting and this guy was bang on. Put some of my stupid short putting tips to shame.

If you can get great results just focusing on the target and putting period you'll have greater results than trying to perfect short putt mechanics, the line of the putt or how your body is set up in regard to the putt it's self. So don't worry so much about short putting perfection for once and just start practicing some 2 footers, one footers and tap-ins without preparation. Just do it as Bo Jackson said in the Nike commercial many years ago.

Don't always go by what the pros say. Yeah, they know their stuff in regards to being great putters, but they don't always use every stroke and mechanical tip. Sometime they fly by the seat of their pants and just do it. Craig Stadler, a well known golfer has an unorthodox swing and it didn't seem to harm his game.

He did quite well.  So next time you're doing some short putting practice just start doing it and don't worry about being perfect. You might just develop your own style of short putting which becomes your very own without thinking about it. That's how it works with musicians when they jam with other musicians, and if you just start short putting without any warmups, it could actually enhance your short putting prowess guys.

Just try it for old Markie over here at short putting cures.

Much Success on the green.
