Short Putting--Why You Need To Do Short Putts To Succeed
Most golfers still seem to think that tap-in putts and short putts are useless, and long putts and drives are the key.No they aren’t and I’ll tell you why.
First of all if you can’t do long putts how do you expect to be able to do short putts. Maybe it still makes no sense to you. Okay, start by doing some tap-in putts for 5 minutes.Seems boring doesn’t it? Too bad.
Now after that do some 2 foot putts for 5 minutes.Getting more difficult already isn’t it? 2 or 3 footers are tough aren’t they.If you can’t do 2, 3, 4 or 5 footers like clockwork, how do you expect to do longer putts. That’s why you need a base of Tap-ins and one foot putts. Anyone can do 20 0r 30 foot putts and get them about 2 or 3 feet from the cup. Try the so called easiest putts first with 5 minutes of tap-ins and 5 minutes of 1 foot putts.
You could even do 5 minutes of tap-ins one day and 5 minutes of 1 footers the next day.Doesn’t seem like much work does it.Think about it, if you did both the tap-ins and 1 footers 3 times a week for a month an hour’s worth of work in a month. That’s 720 minutes or 12 hours a year. All for just doing 5 minutes a day of tap ins and 1 foot putts. What too much work? Come on.
For all the dedicated golfers out there, you can do this easily.Easy as pie. Actually easier to make than a pie.
Tap-ins and 1 footers oh my!
