To me that proves how tough even short putting is. Even for Pro Golf's best player. Putting Control, mainly the speed and alignment is important for more putting success. Anyone can be a great long putter, but getting the ball to within 2 or 3 feet and not have to take that extra putt is what's so baffling to all players.
Okay, here's the tip to help your short putting. Start by putting 4 balls around the cup at 2 feet from the cup. Just putt keeping your body still and elbows in. Keep your head down and still as well. Take your Putter and bring it back just a little and back through the Putt forward. If you miss keep going to the next one and adjust your putting stroke length and speed either faster or slower.
I'm trying to make this simple for you and not too complicated. If I am just email me. If you're continually missing Putts from 2 feet get a friend to watch what you're doing both alignment and putting stroke wise so you can change your Putts just a little. Don't change the way you Putt too much or else you'll just confuse yourself and be even more aggravated.
Talk to local golf pro and pay for some putting tips. Yes, just putting coaching. Focus just on that. That way a pro can tell you and show how to change your Short Putting technique just slightly so you're more able to sink more of those 2 footers even Tiger has issues with. Then get crackin' with regular short putting practice.
You can even go to Tigers site and grab some tips from his videos. Put some of my Short Putting tips into your practice sessions on the green, and grab some coaching from a local pro to take your Putting game further.
So get started today. Here's Tigers site. tigerwoods.com
Much success to you on the green.
Mark
